Who is the chimpy boy? Where does he come from? Why is everyone asking about chimpy? Oh little Chimpyboy, don't bask in the glow of your cover tunes in the gleeful bronze shelter of enquiry. C'mon Chimpy and rotate your tiles. Once you got your tiles rotated, you can charge the bell emanating from the kitchen. Jump chimpy, get the candy. Is that a quarter in your pocket or are you walking barefoot across the rug? Hang on, Chimpy. Chimpy hang on.
Oh I forgot to mention, I did my first piece of time on a standup comedy stage. Bad Dog Theater called me to help them out with their Vagina Monologues spoof, The Penis Monologues. It was an interesting experience, scary, reassuring, redemptive, confessional and in some parts funny. Looking for a laugh is a weird thing. The first night, there were 8 people in the audience but they were there to have fun. The next night I went to Houston for a Spanking at Rudz but the night after, I went back. It was Saturday night and the first show was jumpin'. I had to close each show with Tom Hester going on right in front of me. Tom is a baddass who got pointers from Bill Hicks and Sam Kennison when he was an up and comer, so you know he was a tough act to follow. The crowd was pumped and it was a serious thrill to get them to laugh with me. I have a feeling that rush could be very addictive. It's different from the rush you get from playing music, it's more like the the zap that a one liner can give you between songs. Anyway, the first show went gangbusters, the second show was pretty good but it was a crowd that didn't get some of my references. It through me off a little. The rush was not as big but it was a rush none the less. This made me jones for the first show rush. Like I said, addictive. Anyway, I'll call them when I get back. Gotta go to bed.
