2001-09-13 - 9:14 a.m. When I was a kid, I lived in New York. Before we moved to Texas, my father told me about two amazing towers that were being built in Manhattan. Bigger than the Empire State Building. Those towers seamed like magic to me. I went back to NY when I was fifteen and gawked at the magic towers. Finally, in 1991, I visited the observation floor at the top. I have a buddy who works in the financial district and every time we wanted to hook up, we'd meet at a bar called Tall Ships at the base of one of the towers. Now it's all gone. It's been three days since the towers were destroyed and I'm still so numb that I don't know what to say.
