Well well well, SXSW is upon us again. This time around, I'm not performing. I tell ya, it's a relief but there's some little nugget of aching must play attitude wearily nagging at my persona. Things I will do at SXSW:
Drink
Go to parties
Hook up with old friends
Go to Japan night (always the best showcase) Fuck! I just double checked the schedule and there is no Japan night this year. (Ed. I was wrong, there is one. Hooray!)
Go see They Might Be Giants Wednesday, March 13 at 11:30p.m. La Zona Rosa
Go see Bushwick Bill Wednesday, March 13 at 1:00 a.m. Back Room
Maybe go see my old pal Chris Duarte Thursday, March 14 at 11:00p.m. Steamboat
Go see Jad Fair and "Special Gueast"(gotta be Daniel Johnston) Thursday, March 14 at 12:00a.m. Ritz Lounge
Go see The Dungbeatles Sunday, March 17 at 8:00 p.m. Emo's Main Room and stay for Rip and Destroy (anyone in Austin- this is a must see!)
Oh my God, I just saw the WORST band name, hailing from Athens, Ga. Ladies and Gentlemen, it's - I Am The World Trade Center. Peee-yew!
Well, that's my outline for the week but you never know what's gonna happen at Southby.
